There are so many things we all want to do in 2010, we say its a brand new start of the year, we are looking ahead to the great things that are about to come, no doubt about that, but there are times especially for me after the 1st or 2nd month the vision starts to die, the dream starts to fade.
Here are some things to help you kick start the year 2010
- Think positive thoughts - I love it how David says that God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:10) Negativity is from the devil, don't listen to it. Heck, even the devil would tempt Jesus on His identity in Luke saying "IF you are the son of God...."
- Forget things from the past - forget what has happened and look ahead, its a new day! and of course we need God's help for that. (Isaiah 43:18) Forget the former thing,do not dwell on the past!
- Visualize your dream - (Isaiah 43:19) See, I am doing a new thing! Do you not see it? The dream, the rhema word God spoke to you many years ago, or just last year or even 10 years ago. Start believing and visualizing it, know that God is good and His promise will come to pass. The dream and vision may start dying and fading of now, but its time to resurrect that dream, to believe in His promise. I bet whenever Abraham sees the stars he would remember God's promises. Oh and also Set goals and clear steps towards it!
- Give thanks and Praise continually to God! - Even if you haven't receive the promise, Give thanks! again I love how David in Psalm 103: 1-2(NLT) saying Praise the Lord, I tell myself, with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name......(v2) ......and never forget the good things he does for me. Remember that God is good and the good things he has done though the good times and bad times. Know that discouragement and disappointment are opportunity for miracles.
- Pray Pray Pray! - When you pray.. you're confessing with your mouth on what God had said. Praying also lifts up your faith, pray in a way that your faith will be lifted up just as the first time you got your rhema word. Start praying for the things you have stop praying for. As Bill Johnson said "Pray that God will resurrect prayers and promises"
I'm believing for my sheeps (ok I never really like the term sheep)*coughs* the people I'm taking care of for spiritual growth and to be Men of God and that they too can leave a legacy
I've only shared this with a couple of people but this is the promise that God had for me mid last year during my prayer times as I was dreaming of doing great things for God and of revival. The Lord told me 'Be a person of destiny that will leave a legacy' (thus my blog heading) God was challenging me to give all of me for all of Him, because I've learnt that a great calling comes with a great price and that may involve more time off the computer and more time praying, fasting, and reading the Word, wow *sweats* bring it on! I challenge you all to live the destiny that God has called you to :)
